2nd Qatar-Poland New Tech Forum
A one-day business conference that brought Polish technology companies to Qatar.
What was the QPNTF?
The Qatar-Poland New Tech Forum was a meeting point for technology companies, institutions and investors from the two countries. Its 2nd edition took place in Doha on 21 November 2021, when several technology companies from Poland showcased their work in digital health, cloud services, cybersecurity, fintech and more.
The forum was organised by the Qatar-Poland Business Council together with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Doha, and ran as a single day of keynotes, company presentations and one-to-one B2B meetings, with a networking lunch in between. After an online first edition earlier that year, it was the first time the forum met in person.
Partners of the 2021 edition included Orlen, PGNiG, the Qatar Financial Centre and Microsoft.
New tech sectors
Poland is a leader in new technology research and development, and its economy is one of the most diversified in the European Union. The forum grouped the companies it presented into twenty sectors — from the infrastructure every digital business runs on, such as cloud services, cybersecurity and big data, to the industries where Qatar was investing most heavily at the time: oil and gas, aviation, healthcare, education and renewables.

The morning was built around two questions that ran through the whole day: what Qatar offered a Polish technology company that wanted to grow in the Gulf, and what Polish engineering could bring to Qatar’s own digital transformation programmes. The afternoon belonged to the B2B sessions, which were the reason most delegations came.
